Heritage Shell Guide Trust Welcomes You
“…West Yorkshire is a notable addition to the new Heritage Shell Guide Series – full of good things … so much odd information and pleasure! …
It’s a lovely book!”
Keeping On Keeping On, Alan Bennett
Heritage Shell Guide Trust
We are dedicated to continuing the County Guides for England and Wales published between 1935 and 1994. Under the editorship of John Betjeman and John Piper they describe and illustrate our historic buildings in towns and villages and show how they should be seen.
Our books will tell you how the shape of your County came about. How the ancient Cathedrals, stately homes, myriad churches and villages were built. Most importantly, our books tell you where to find the most interesting and historic ones, with a wealth of illustrations.
